The work is complete and in the original burgundy cloth with gilt cover and spine titles and pictorial illustration on upper cover. Light scuffing to binding, spine titles lightly faded. Light foxing to frontispiece margin and title page margin. Remainder of text, plates, maps clean and bright.  In very good conditon. 
 
The work is a narrative  account of the Workmans' fourth expedition to the Karakoram in 1908. The Hispar Pass is situated near Gilgit and Nagir. All of the illustrations are from photographs taken by the authors.
