The folio is in the original tan title wraps with a black cloth spine. Binding it tight a clean with only a small stain at upper and lower inner edge of cover. The text and maps are clean and bright. Very good + condition.
Between 1894 and 1945 the USGS issued 227 folios covering various areas of the United States. The text pages of a folio covered the geology, historical geology, stratigraphy and if present the mineral and mining industry.
The authors discuss the the geography, geology, geological history, stratigraphy and ore deposits of this famous mining region.
