The book is in a contemporary calf over marbled boards, gilt spine panels. Lower spine edge repaired with matching calf, blind stamp on tp, very minor foxing to map. In very good condition. Rare.
An Austrian stratigrapher and mineralogist at the Univ. of Innsbruck, Pichler (1819-1900) is best known for his studies of the Tirols. The above study is one of the earlier studies of the region around Innsbruck.
