The work is complete and in a contemporary cloth with gilt titles. The binding is tight and clean, minor bumping to corners and edges, owners name and address penned on paste down, minor stain to lower corner of rear paste down, text lightly age toned. In very good condition.
A later edition of Lyell’s “Principles” which is considered a cornerstone work in the history of geology.
