The work is complete and in the original decorative green cloth with decorative titles on the cover and gilt spine titles. Light rubbing to the binding, the text is clean and bright with light toning to the title page. In very good condition.
Ernst Friedrich Rudolph Karl Koken (1860-1912) was a prominent German stratigrapher and paleontologist. He is noted for his studies of the stratigraphy and paleontology of Germany and Austria and his studies of the paleontology of the Salt Range of Pakistan. His above text was a well received study of the ancient world its history and the evolution of life on Earth.
