The book is complete and in a modern full calf binding with the contemporary gilt spine label preserved. The binding is tight and very clean. An early faded signature is on the title page. Light to moderate foxing to three of the plates and title page. Light toning to the map margins and some light spotting on a few text pages. Over all in very good condition with the scarce map present.

Light foxing to the first and last text pages, stamp of the Ecole Nationale des Mines on title page with exchange stamp above it. The two maps are very clean with only minor foxing at two folds and a very short tear to the inner edge of one map. Over all this is a very good copy of Featherstonaugh's work with both of the important maps present.
