Folio, pp. half title, title page with hnd-colored vignette, ix, second half title, 25 pages of plate explanations, 7 hand-colored plates, profiles and sections, 44 engraved plates of fossils, 15 engraved plates (some colored) of zoological and botanical specimens.

The atlas is complete and in a recent full tooled calf with eight gilt spine panels and gilt titles. The text, plates and maps are exceptionally clean, with no foxing, stains, marks or stamps. A very good copy of a very scarce work.

The volume is complete and in the original light brown cloth with gilt titles. The binding has been re-cased with a later matching spine and original spine laid over.  Scuffing to boards, titles bright, text clean.

The set is complete and in the original cloth with later gilt spine labels. Bindings are tight, minor wear to upper and lower spine edges. Owners book plate on paste down, society stamps on titles and verso of a couple of plates. Card pocket removed from rear paste down. Light foxing to some pages and some plates. Over all in very good condition.

Large quarto special large paper copy, pp. viii, errata, 428, frontispiece, 2 (1 handcoloured) folded engraved maps and 16 (1 handcoloured) lithographed plates.

This large paper copy with wide margins is complete and in the original binders wraps with the original paper spine label. The wraps are scuffed with the spine starting to split and a few signatures starting. Owners stamp on verso of frontispiece, short section torn from half title but not effecting print, text is clean, map is very clean, light foxing to margins of some plates. Over all in very good condition.
