The book is complete and in the original cloth with a calf spine label. The binding is tight and clean, inner hinges nicely tightened, the text is very clean and the map is in near mint condition.

The set is complete and in a contemporary tree calf with gilt spine titles and panels. The binding are tight with light archival restoration at hinge margins. Very light toning or foxing to first and last page margins, map very clean, owners penciled name on titles  In very good condition.

The two works are complete and bound as a set in a modern full calf with gilt titles. The binding is tight and very clean. The text is clean and bright, plates and maps are clean and bright. The large folded Fremont/Preuss map is rolled and in a separate archival case with map rebacked with archival tissue with minor wear at folds. The Stockton map is bright and very clean with short tear at spine gutter. A very good set of two important works on the exploration of the American west and Michigan’s mineral regions.
