The work is complete with supplements present and bound in a later blue cloth, with black/gilt spine label. The binding is tight and clean and the text is very clean. In very good condition.

An English geologist and paleontologist; Reed (1869-1946); is best known for his studies of trilobites gastropods and brachiopods from England and India. Besides his 1912 classic "Geology of the British Empire", Reed wrote extensively on trilobites with the above monograph being his most noted work. The Girvan region is an area rich in trilobite fauna. His work is based on the material in all known collections both institutional and private. The work was published in three parts and updated with three supplements, all of which are present.
