This work is usually seen as a part of the large Geology volume to the Wheeler Survey. Some special bindings were issued containing just a part of the larger report. This particular work contains Stevenson’s report on the southern part of Colorado and details the topography, geology, metamorphic rocks, Paleozoic strata, Mesozoic strata, surficial geology, mineral springs and structural geology. He finishes with a discussion of the age of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
