Martin Zeiller (1589-1661 ) was a German Protestant author of the Baroque period and studied in history and law and after 1629 worked in various capacities in school systems in Ulm. He wrote extensively on the history of Germania and Bohemiae. One of his best known works was “Topographia Bohemiae” published in 1650. The work is a description of the topography of Bohemia, Moravia and Sileisia, with descriptions of the major cities and towns and also contains one of the earliest descriptions of the mineral resources, minerals and mines of the region. The work is very rare.
