Hall traveled throughout much of the Northeast, including the Great Lakes region, he went south by way of the Mississippi River though Louisiana and north to Quebec. He gives excellent descriptions of places and conditions which came under his observation, including Creek Indian ceremonies and navigating the Mississippi River.
