An English invertebrate paleontologist; ; Foord (1845-1934) was a curator in Canada , then at the York Museum before becoming the Librarian for the Royal Dublin ociety. He studied the Carboniferous cephalopods and Paleozoic corals of Ireland. His above work is a detailed systematic study of the cephalopods.
