Greetings and welcome to the website of geology-books.com, a rare and out
of print book store owned by Ed and Mary Rogers. We have been serving the
needs of the collector of rare and out of print geoscience books and rare
and out of print western Americana and exploration books for 20 years. Our client base consists of professionals and amateurs in the
geological sciences and history of the sciences, explorations and travels
as well as libraries and museums.
Over the years we have worked with both major institutions and private collectors wishing to sell portions of a library or entire collections in
the geological sciences. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are
considering disposing of your library. We will happily provide a list of
customers we have worked with in the past.
Ed is a retired geologist and has his own collection of rare works in the geological sciences as well as a collection of reference works on the history of science and the history of explorations. Mary has over 35
years experience as an archivist and professional graphics designer. She
insures the works sold are complete and ready to be used by the
purchaser. If a book warrants a new leather or vellum binding, we use a
bookbinder who has only a few select clients. Our binder learned the
trade in the U. K. by studying under the binder and archivist for the
Royal Family. All of his work is done using strictly archival materials.
Our inventory of rare books for sale includes: rare and out of print
books in: geology, stratigraphy, structural geology, volcanology, mining,
mineralogy, gemology, meteoritics, invertebrate paleontology, vertebrate
paleontology, paleobotany, micropaleontology, early explorations and
travels, western Americana, early atlases and maps, and important works
in other fields of natural history.
Our web site is viewable by categories of books and searchable by keyword,
