A Dutch physician; Brugmans (1763-1819) wrote the above dissertation which describes the minerals found in the region of Groningen in the Netherlands. The minerals are arranged according to the system of Wallerius. The work was written and defended by Brugmans as part of his philosophical degree from the Academy of Groningen.
