Compiled from Official Data Obtained from the U. S. Lake Survey, Smithsonian Institution, and War Department. Privately Printed by the author, Milwaukee, Wis, 1888. Folio, pp. 4, folded chart (25 x 37 inches).


This rare work is complete and in early boards with a typed paper title label on spine edge and original blue title cover bound in. Rubbing to boards, text and chart very clean, inscribed to Alexander Agassiz on blue cover, with Harvard book plate on paste down and owner’s book plate below. In very good condition.
